Writing software · Independently directed

WriMo

Status: Active development

A writing workspace built around creative ownership, reliable drafts, and returning to a story without losing context.

The problem

Writing software should help people keep their words and momentum, not put their work behind confusing storage or backup decisions.

What I designed and decided

I defined the writing journeys, trust and recovery model, adaptable workspace, and the long-term collaboration vision. Local-first ownership and a quiet, focused writing experience guide the product. Its official tagline is “WriMo: Write more, together.”

Working with AI

I set the product direction and review design and technical choices; AI-assisted engineering helps implement, document, and test those decisions. This does not mean I personally wrote every line of the application.

What works today

An early browser writing experience supports persistent local drafts, GitHub-backed backup and recovery; a desktop writing foundation is also under evaluation. The product is still in active development.

What's next

Improve onboarding, preservation and writing workflows. Flexible planning, richer customization and collaboration are part of the roadmap, not claims about the current release.
